5R     - Elvira, IV3FSG will be active as 5R8LH from Madagascar  from  1 Au-
         gust to 9 September.  Usually she operates SSB and digital modes in
         her spare time. QSL direct to IK2DUW.
9A     - Look for 9A/S50O/p, 9A/S50X/p,  9A/S53Z/p,  9A/S54ZO/p,  9A/S58MU/p
         and 9A7YY to be active from  Vis Island (EU-016) from  25 July to 2
         August. They will operate CW, SSB and FT modes on 80-6 metres,  and
         will participate in the IOTA Contest,  possibly using a 9A callsign

9M6    - A team from the Amateur Radio Club Sarawak will be active as  9M8RC
         from Satang Besar Island (OC-165), East Malaysia from  30 July to 1
         August, with  main activity  planned during the  IOTA Contest.  QSL
         direct to 9W8KIF.
BV     - BM2AAV, BV5OO, BV5PD, BX2AGL, BX3AC  and BX3ACH  will be active  as
         BP0A  from the  Penghu Islands (AS-107)  from  29 July to 1 August.
         They will operate SSB and CW on 80, 40, 20, 15 and 10 metres,  with
         main activity during the IOTA Contest. [TNX NG3K]
CN     - Taking part  in the  annual  Throne Day's celebrations,  members of
         the  Association Royale des Radioamateurs du Maroc (ARRAM)  will be
         using the special prefix CN23 between 28 July and 8 August.  Throne
         Day is a public holiday in Morocco  that commemorates the enthrone-
         ment of the incumbent monarch.  Since 1999,  it has been celebrated
         on 30 July.
DL     - Mike, DG5LAC  will be active again as  DG5LAC/p  from  Hallig Hooge
         (EU-042) for the IOTA Contest (30-31 July).  Outside the contest he
         will operate SSB and FT8/FT4. QSL via Club Log's OQRS, LoTW, or via

DX0    - DX0NE is the callsign issued for a  DXpedition to Kalayaan, Pag-asa
         Island, Spratly Islands (AS-051)  to take place  sometime between 1
         August and  31 December.  The team includes  Ed 4F1OZ,  Gil 4F2KWT,
         Ruel DU1VGX, Mike DU1XX (AE6DG)  and Jong DU3JA.  They will operate
         five stations on 160-10 metres CW, SSB and FT8.  QSL via Club Log's
         OQRS (preferred),  or  via IZ8CCW;  full upload  to LoTW after  5-6

EA     - AM30FEDIEA is the special callsign celebrating the 30th anniversary
         of the  Federacion Digital EA  (EA3RKF)  from 15 July to 15 August.
         QSL direct to FEDI-EA, Apartado Postal 3050, 08200 Sabadell (Barce-
         lona), Spain. In addition, all Spanish radio amateurs may use  spe-
         cial prefixes during the same time frame:
         EA stations can use AM + call area + 30 + suffix: AM330xxx = EA3xxx
         EB stations can use AN + call area + 30 + suffix: AN630xxx = EB6xxx
         EC stations can use AO + call area + 30 + suffix: AO830xxx = EC8xxx
FO/M   - After 23 years, Patrick, FO5QS  has left  Huahine (OC-067)  and has
         moved permanently to Hiva-Oa, Marquesas Islands (OC-027). "He hopes
         to start his activity at the end of July and will be active on 160m
         to 70cm  in all modes  and  also on 6m in EME",  Les  Nouvelles  DX

H4     - Bernhard, DL2GAC will participate in the IOTA Contest as H44MS from
         Guadalcanal (OC-047), Solomon Islands.  He expects to remain in the
         country until 21 September and to operate mainly SSB.  QSL via home
         call, direct or bureau.
HR     - Alex, K6VHF will be active as K6VHF/HR9 from Roatan Island (NA-057)
         on 27-31 July. He will operate mainly FT8, with some SSB and CW, on
         80-6 metres. QSL via LoTW, or via home call. [TNX DX World]
HS     - Members  of  the  Amateur Radio Association of Phetchaburi  will be
         active as HS7AP/p from Chang Island (AS-125)  from 29 July to 1 Au-
         gust.  They will operate CW, SSB and FT8  on 80, 40, 20, 15 and  10
         metres, and will participate in the IOTA Contest. QSL via E21IZC.
SP     - 4Z5LA and 4X1VF will be active as 3Z5LA/1  from  Wolin Island  (EU-
         132) from 29 July to 2 August,  including participation in the IOTA

SV     - Members of the  Radio Amateur Association of Western Greece  (SZ1A)
         will operate special event station SX14ASTRO between  22 July and 5
         August for the  14th Panhellenic Expedition of Amateur Astronomers.
         The station  will be QRV on the  HF, VHF and UHF  amateur bands.  A
         number of certificates will be available,  see https://sz1a.org/en/

TA     - Alex, SQ9UM has been active again as TA4/SQ9UM from  Finike, Turkey
         since 16 July, and will remain there until 29 July. He operates CW,
         SSB, FT8 and FT4 on  80-6 metres.  QSL via Club Log's OQRS,  or via

TK     - Frans, DJ0TP will be active again as TK/DJ0TP from the  main island
         of Corsica (EU-014) between 28 July and 3 September.  QSL via LoTW,

UA9    - The Russian Robinson Club's team  [425DXN 1618]  now expects  to be
         active as RI0IR from Nedorazumeniya Island  (AS-059,  RRA RR-13-16)
         on 21-26 July, and as RD20LH  (not RI0IR/p as previously announced)
         from Sikulun Island (RRA RR-13-38) on 27-29 July. They will operate
         CW, SSB and FT8 on 40-10 metres with two stations.  QSLs via RZ3EC;
         plans  are  to upload  the logs  to both  LoTW  and  Club Log.  See

V4     - Once again John, W5JON will be active as V47JA from  St. Kitts (NA-
         104) from 27 July to 7 August.  He will operate SSB and FT8  on the
         HF bands and 6 metres. QSL via LoTW, or direct only to W5JON.  [TNX
V8     - Celebrating the 76th birthday of  HRM Hassanal Bolkiah, Sultan  and
         Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei, special callsign  V84SPU  will be active
         on 18-26 July on all bands and modes.  QSL direct to  P.O. Box 849,
         MPC Old Airport, Bandar Seri Begawan BB3577, Brunei Darussalam.
VE     - Pierre, VK3KTB will be active again as VY0ERC from the  Eureka Ama-
         teur Radio Club station on Ellesmere Island (NA-008)  "roughly from
         1 August to 16 August".  He is likely to operate SSB, CW and FT8 in
         his spare time.  "As part of the  requirements  for this trip",  he
         says, "I will be isolating enroute for 10 days in  Resolute Bay  on
         Cornwallis Island (NA-009)". Hopefully he will be able to be QRV as
         VE3KTB/VY0 "for several hours on several days" running 10 watts  on

October [425DXN 1626]. He is QRV in his limited spare time,  which is shared
with other hobbies and relaxing. For the time being he operates FT8 F/H mode
on 80-10 metres;  look for him on 3567, 7056,  10131,  14083,  18095, 21091,
24911 and 28091 kHz. He uploads his QSOs to  Club Log and LoTW;  traditional

QSO TODAY VIRTUAL HAM EXPO ---> The  fifth  Virtual Ham Expo  organized   by
"QSO Today"  will be held on  17-18 September  on a virtual reality platform
that  simulates  a full  convention  experience  which  includes:  "superior
speakers and presentations; fully interactive video lounges for real eyeball
QSOs; an exhibit hall full  of our favorite vendors  and organizations;  and
now a new Poster Gallery Hall that includes a product showcase and  interac-
tive projects submitted by amateurs".  The Virtual Ham Expo will run for  48
hours as a live event, and then  on-demand  for 30 days afterwards.  Tickets

+ SILENT KEY + Mayuree Chotikul HS1YL  passed away on  18 July,  aged 81.  A
former President of the Radio Amateur Society of Thailand from 1992 to 2008,
she was one of the driving forces behind the founding of RAST in 1963 along-
side her husband Col. Kamchai Chotikul, HS1WR (SK).
