3Y0J ---> Conditions on the island were extremely difficult and primitive.
The team had just one tent, neither tables nor chairs, and limited heating.
Read LA7GIA's short resume and watch a couple of self-explanatory videoes:
https://www.facebook.com/groups/3093983 ... 1376248693
* "Pile-up was difficult as our signals were weak", LA7GIA says. "We had
good reception and very often we called 3 to 5 times to log a QSO. We
focused on fewer bands to maximize All Time New Ones".
* Two of the Norwegian team members made a few QSOs with their own personal
  3Y callsigns: LA7GIA as 3Y7GIA on 10 February, and LA7THA as 3Y7THA (QSL
  via M0OXO) on 11 February.
* As for FT8, 3Y0J used WSJT-X F/H mode, so they (the Fox) had to transmit
on the even cycle (00/30), while the chaser (the Hound) had to transmit on
the odd cycle (15/45). The team on the island, however, "did not have any
device to sync against, and our clock were 14 seconds off - which meant
we at some time were TX odd, while we thought it was even".
* Operations continued until the fuel ran out, then 3Y0J closed down at 3
  UTC on 14 February.
* The "Marama" set sail for Cape Town, South Africa on 16 February. Her
estimated date of arrival is around 23 February.
* The logs are being uploaded to Club Log and M0OXO's OQRS:
  https://www.m0oxo.com/oqrs/logsearch.ph ... lsign=3y0j
* Missing call checks for CW and SSB contacts should be reported to M0OXO by
using the "Not in Log" form on his OQRS. "No digital QSOs will be changed
whatsoever, absolutely no exception. Thus there is no need to contact the
  QSL manager about this".

7U7EE: CANCELLED ---> Henning, OZ2I has had to cancel his 15-22 February
activity [425DXN 1657] as he was unable to get a visa in time. The operation
has been postponed until further notice.

ANTARCTIC ACTIVITY WEEK ---> The Worldwide Antarctic Program has announced
that the 20th Antarctic Activity Week will be held on 19-26 February. The
aim of this annual event is to promote worldwide interest in the Antarctic
continent. Special callsigns (QSL via operator's instructions) are expected
to be aired during this year's AAW from Algeria (7T22ANT), Austria (OE20AAW,
OE88WAP, OE89ANT, OE90AAW), Bulgaria (LZ20ANT), France (TM20AAW), Italy
(IB2WAP, II2YLPS, II3MNA,II2ANT, II5ANT, IR1ANT, IR2A), Netherlands (PA6ANT,
PF88ANT), Poland (SP0ANT), Spain (EH3ANT), USA (K4C). Complete information
on the AAW can be found on http://www.waponline.it/.

ARRL INTERNATIONAL DX CONTEST ---> Object of the contest is for W/VE ama-
teurs to work as many stations in as many DXCC Entities as possible on 160,
80, 40, 20, 15, and 10 metres, while DX stations (also including KH6, KL7,
CY9 and CY0) work as many W/VE amateurs in as many of the 48 contiguous
states and provinces as possible (see https://www.arrl.org/arrl-dx for the
rules). This year's event will be held on 18-19 February (CW) and 4-5 March
(SSB). Give a look at the Announced Operations listings maintained by Bill,
NG3K: https://www.ng3k.com/Contest/.

ZZ2MI: CANCELLED ---> Owing to lack of transportation, the 17-19 February
operation from Ilha da Moela (SA-071) [425DXN 1658] has been cancelled.
