3D2_cr - 3D2AJT went QRT earlier than planned, on 17 April,  as the Rebel DX
         Group  is preparing a  second operation from Conway Reef,  which is
         expected to start soon under the callsign 3D2CCC. This will be a 2-
         man activity on 160-6 metres  SSB (one station),  CW (two stations)
         and  FT8/FT4 (twelve stations).  QSL via Club Log's OQRS.  Bookmark

9H     - 9H6HE is the  special callsign  for the  Malta Amateur Radio League
         (9H1MRL) to celebrate the swearing in of  Dr. Myriam Spiteri Debono
         as Malta's 11th President.  Look for activity  from 15 April  to 31
         May, on 40, 20, 15 and 10 metres SSB, CW and digital modes. QSL via
         LoTW; paper QSL cards will not be available.
CE0Y   - 3G0YA is the callsign issued  to the  18 April-6 May  DXpedition to
         Easter Island (SA-001)  [425DXN 1719].  Ben DL6FBL,  Win DK9IP  and
         Lutz DM6EE  will operate  SSB, FT8 and CW on 160-6 metres.  QSL via
         Club Log's OQRS  (preferred), or via DJ4MX. More information can be

CT     - Special  event  stations  CS2GPDX (continental  Portugal),  CR2GPDX
         (Azores)  and  CR3GPDX (Madeira)  will  be  active  on  1-31 May to
         celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Portuguese DX Group. QSL only

G      - The Wessex DX Group  will be active as  GB0WED  on 20-27 April  for
         Earth Day,  the  global event held annually on  22 April  to demon-
         Strate support for environmental protection. QSL via eQSL.
G      - Joining  Guglielmo Marconi's  150th anniversary  celebrations,  the
         Cornish Radio Amateur Club (GX4CRC) will be active as GB150GM  from
         27 April until 27 July. QSL via eQSL. This activity participates in
         the "Marconi 150 Award", organized by the Associazione Radioamatori
         Italiani (ARI)  and the  Coordinamento Stazioni Marconiane Italiane
         (CSMI) under the patronage of the Guglielmo Marconi Foundation. See
         IR2GMCL below.
GM     - A large group of Camb Hams will be active as  GS3PYE  from the Isle
         of Mull (EU-008)  from  27 April to 3 May.  Look for them on  80-10
         metres and QO-100. QSL only via Club Log' OQRS. [TNX G3ZAY]
HV     - Members of ARI Civitavecchia,  ARI Roma, ARI Perugia  and  ARI YOTA
         Italia  will be active  as  HV9TVM  on 27 April,  from 6 to 12 UTC.
         They will operate  CW and SSB on 40 and 20 metres,  and via  QO-100
         (CW, SSB and FT8).  QSL via IK0PHU,  direct or bureau.  HV9TVM is a
         permanent amateur radio station located in the building that housed
         the first broadcasting centre of Vatican Radio,  built by Guglielmo
         Marconi and inaugurated  in 1931 by Pope Pius XI.  Since 1995,  the
         building  has  housed  Vatican  Radio's  Technical  and  Historical
         Museum.
I      - Look for IY0CG,  IY0GA (Sardinia),  IY0IMD, IY0MMR, IY0ORP,  IY0TC,
         IY1MR, IY1SM,  IY1SP, IY1TO,  IY4FGM, IY5PIS, IY6GM and IY7M  to be
         active  during  the  International Marconi Day (27 April).  QSL via
         operators'  instructions.  These  stations  are  affiliated  to the
         "Coordinamento Stazioni Marconiane Italiane"  which gathers amateur
         radio stations  operating  from historic Marconi sites  located  in
         Italy (http://csmi.altervista.org/wp/).
I      - Commemorating the 150th anniversary of the birth of  Guglielmo Mar-
         coni, members of ARI's Board of Directors will be active as IR2GMCL
         between  28 April and 27 July  during the "Marconi 150 Award".  See
         https://www.qrz.com/db/IR2GMCL  for the rules. Paper QSL cards will
         not be provided;  electronic QSLs  will be  downloadable  from  the
         HamAward platform.
JA     - Take, JI3DST will be active again from the  Miyako Islands (AS-079)
         between  24 April and 26 June.  Callsigns  to be used  are  JS6RRR,
         JS6RRR/6, JI3DST/6, JJ5RBH/6 and JR8YLY/6 on SSB and CW, as well as
         JS6RRR/p, JI3DST/p, JJ5RBH/p and JR8YLY/p on FT8/FT4.  QSOs will be
         made available for Club Log and LoTW Matching on the IOTA website.
JA     - Look for Mitsu, JE1HXZ/6 to be active from Yonaguni Island (AS-024)
         from 26 April to 5 May.  He will operate  CW, SSB, RTTY and FT8/FT4
         on 160-6 metres.  QSL via LoTW (preferred)  or direct to home call;
         bureau cards can be requested by email (details on qrz.com).
         Similarly active from the same island will be Sam, 7K1EAS, who will
         be QRV as JR6/7K1EAS  from  30 April to 2 May.  He will operate FT8
         and FT4 on 15, 12 and 10 metres. QSL via Club Log's OQRS.
VE     - Andy, VE1ANF  will be active as VE1ANF/p from Bells Island (NA-081)
         on 19-21 April.  He will operate mainly CW, possibly  with some SSB
         and FT8, on 20, 17, 15, 12 and 10 metres.  QSL via LoTW, Club Log's
         OQRS, or direct to home call. [TNX The Daily DX]
YB     - Special callsigns  8A145RA,  8A145KAR, 8A145TI and 8A145NI  will be
         active on 20-22 April commemorating the 145th anniversary since the
         birth of Raden Adjeng Kartini (1879-1904). Look for activity on the
         five classic bands SSB. QSL via LoTW, eQSL, Club Log's OQRS, or via
         N2OO. See https://award.orari.or.id/ for the certificates that will
         be available.  R.A. Kartini  was  an  activist  who  advocated  for
         women's rights and female education;  in 1964 she was  awarded  the
         title of National Hero of Indonesia.
YJ     - Chris, VK2YUS will be active again as YJ0CA from Port Vila (OC-035)
         Vanuatu between 27 April and 9 May.  He will operate SSB on 40-10m,
         mainly between 21 UTC and 10 UTC. QSL direct to home call.  He does

ZC4    - Dave, G4WXJ  will be active  holiday style  as  ZC4RH  from the  UK
         Sovereign Base Areas on Cyprus  from  28 April  to 9 May.  He  will
         operate FT8, FT4, SSB and CW on 40-6 metres.  QSL via LoTW,  or via

INTERNATIONAL MARCONI DAY ---> Organized by the Cornish Radio Amateur  Club,
the International Marconi Day (IMD) is a 24-hour amateur  radio  event  held
annually to celebrate the birth of Guglielmo Marconi (25 April 1874). It  is
not a contest, but an opportunity for amateurs  around  the  world  to  make
contacts with historic Marconi sites  using  HF  communications  techniques.
This year's event will be held  on 27 April, from  00.00  UTC  to 23.59 UTC.

N5J: JARVIS ISLAND 2024 ---> The Dateline DX Association  has announced that
"due to the increasing interest in our DXpedition to this rare  DXCC Entity,
we are adding another local operator to our team". Plans are to have six RIB
stations  on the island.  Four stations are set up to be  remotely operated,
while two stations will be operated locally (from the boat) by  AA7JV, N1DG,
HA7RY, KN4EEI and the newly added team member Adrian, KO8SCA.

NCDXF DXCELLENCE AWARD ---> Created in  April 2021,  the Northern California
DX Foundation's "DXcellence Award" is awarded to "the outstanding DXpedition
of the  last twelve month,  which received funding from NCDXF.  The award is
intended to recognize excellence in a DXpedition,  exemplified by practices,
ethics, management, transparency, impact upon the DXing community, and last-
ly exhibited fun!  The winner of the award is determined by the  NCDXF Board
of Directors.  The board considers  several factors,  including performance,
complexity of the DXpedition,  and impact on Club Log's most wanted ranking.
Especially important are activities associated with humanitarian efforts and
education".
This year's DXcellence Award  has been conferred on  TX5S,  the January 2024
DXpedition to Clipperton.  The award was presented to  K5GS  during the 75th
International DX Convention
The NCDXF looks forward to other DXpeditions this year that will qualify for
The next award in 2025. The mission of the Northern California DX Foundation
is to provide necessary financial support  for well-organized DXpeditions to
desirable DXCC Entities  and  to support advances  in  DXpeditioning skills,

RI0POL ---> This is the new callsign  for Oleg, RD1A, who was previously QRV
as RI41POL and RI0SP. He is participating in the North Pole-41 expedition to
the  Arctic  onboard  the  "North Pole",  a  large  self-propelled  drifting
research vessel replacing the drifting ice stations built on ice floes.  QSL
via RN3RQ.
