VE - The Daily DX reports that Mike, VY0ZOO has had to extend his stay, and will remain on Cape Dorset (NA-156) [425DXN 1787] until 19 Oc- tober before heading back to Southampton Island (NA-007). QSL di- rect to VE2XB (please wait until after 1 December before sending him direct QSLs). VU - The back-to-back expedition to IOTA groups AS-176 (2-4 November) and AS-169 (6-8 November) [425DXN 1782] has been postponed until sometime next year. "Our plans for the west coast of India are cur- rently on hold due to heavy rainfall, which makes island travel difficult and unsafe", Sarath, VU2RS says. "We will revisit and schedule these expeditions only after the VU7 DXpedition" (see below). VU7 - The DX India Foundation will undertake a DXpedition to Agatti (AS- 011), Lakshadweep Islands on 10-22 January. A multi-national team (so far VU24ADX , VU29AR, VU2DWA, VU2RS, VU3DXA, VU3GDS, DJ5IW, DL6KVA, EY8MM, R7KW, YT1AD) will operate CW, SSB and FT8 (F/H) on 160-10 metres with four stations and a focus on 160, 80, and 40m. A fifth station will be dedicated to 6m and QO-100. QSL via M0OXO's OQRS. Bookmark https://vu2rs.com/vu7r for more information and updates. XF4 - On 25 October, Mark (XE1B) will visit Socorro Island (NA-030), Re- villagigedo to meet the new base commander and establish conditions for an international team with remote capabilities for the future. Access to the base is limited and is only possible via a Navy battleship departing from Baja, Mexico. The voyage takes 36 hours. The next Navy trip departs on 23 October and returns on 30 October, giving Mark a five-day window to operate. Mark has visited the island three times before (in 1999, 2011 and 2018) and has obtained a new licence for this trip. The callsign will be announced when he is QRV. He has also obtained permission from the Navy and the other two regulatory agencies to visit the island and operate. The operation will have a low profile, demonstrating that a DXpedi- tion can be carried out with minimal impact on the island. Mark's focus will be on making as many ATNO contacts as possible in order to lower XF4's rank in demand. He will bring four antennas, two radios and a linear amplifier. He will operate SSB and FT8 simulta- neously, without automated FT8 QSOs. There are uncertainties regard- ing Internet access, so contacts will not be streamed. QSLs will be available via Club Log's OQRS only; QSOs will be up- loaded to LoTW as OQRS requests are processed. Any excess proceeds will be donated to the Northern California DX Foundation. The aim of this visit is to pave the way for a larger activation in 2026. Z6 - Milan S58MU as Z68MU (QSL via home call) and Silvo S50X as Z68WW will be active from Gjilan, Kosovo from 23 October to 3 November. They will operate SSB and CW on 160-10 metres, including an entry in the CQ WW DX SSB Contest as Z68MU. On 1-2 November, during the IPARC Contest (https://dl0ipa.darc.de/Contest.htm) they will use Z66IPA (QSL via S58MU, direct or bureau). [TNX S58MU] PACIFIC TOUR ---> Rudi, DK7PE's third Pacific DXpedition (25 October-19 No- vember) [425DXN 1797] will include activity from Guam (KG6/AH0G), Palau (T8), Micronesia (V6CW), the Marshall Islands (V7), and possibly Western Kiribati (T30RK). He will operate CW only with 100 watts and wire antennas. "It will be a mixture of DXpedition, antenna experimenting and meeting local radio amateurs", he says. Details will be posted to https://www.rooody.de/. QSLs via home call. =========================== *** 4 2 5 D X N E W S *** **** GOOD TO KNOW ... **** =========================== Edited by I1JQJ & IK1ADH Direttore Responsabile I2VGW Access to the main functions of www.425dxn.org is provided by the 425DXN App for Android. Vazquez, AK6FP, this tool offers a compre- hensive view of real-time signal reception, making amateur radio operations more informed and engaging. In focusing on actual reception data, DXLook ag- gregates information from multiple sources, including WSPRnet, the Reverse Beacon Network, PSK Reporter, DX Clusters, and more, along with solar data overlays for added context. DXLook runs in a web browser with no login re- quired: https://dxlook.com. E51MWA ---> The team on Manihiki Atoll (OC-014), North Cook Islands was forced to go QRT at 17 UTC on 14 October, which was much earlier than planned. It was a Murphy-stricken DXpedition. Just 12 hours after the start of the activity, the solar plant experienced a drop in voltage and the back- up generator did not start as expected, resulting in a power outage that lasted several hours. Over the next few days, a power strip failed, one ra- dio stopped working and the high-power bandpass filters for 17 and 12 metres failed and had to be taken out of line. Finally, another power outage oc- curred in the local early hours of 14 October. A "technician came to start the backup generator and went home", but at some point "the generator and the building caught fire" and burned down. "The damage has been assessed, and it has been determined that the village will be without power for the next three to four months. Without power options the team had no choice but to go QRT". [Source: https://www.e51mwa.com] NA-038 ---> Francois, VA2RC has moved to Fatima on Ile du Cap aux Meules, La Madeleine Islands (NA-038) and has been active since late September. He op- erates FT8, CW and SSB. QSL via the bureau or direct, and LoTW QSL 3G1P & AT2AH ---> IT9EJW has printed the cards for 3G1P (SA-100) and AT2AH (AS-178), but Canada Post's ongoing strike means they cannot be sent to the QSL manager (VE3LYC). Instead, Cezar will organize for them to be shipped from Italy to Canada via courier. Meanwhile, he will upload to LoTW all QSOs for those who requested direct QSL cards. =========================== *** 4 2 5 D X N E W S *** ******* QSL ROUTES ******* =========================== Edited by I1JQJ & IK1ADH Direttore Responsabile I2VGW =================================================================== CALL MANAGER CALL MANAGER CALL MANAGER =================================================================== 4U1UN HB9BOU HB9SPACE HB9ACA PJ4SON M0URX 4U24OCT 9A2AA HF30PMW SP2PMW PJ6Y M0OXO 5Q5W DL2SWW HK1MW N2OO PY0FB M0URX 5R8IC F6ICX HL12NWPF 6K5UBS PY0FBS M0URX 5Z4XB VK3XB HS0ZJF ON4AFU SE5E SM5AJV 6Y1A 6Y5PW HZ1DG EC6DX SK3W SM5CCT 7Q7CT EA7FTR II7LNX IZ7LOW SN27OT SP3PDO 8S0C SM0MPV J38DX M0OXO SN45OPW SP3PDO A60WSW/14 LZ1YE J38LD M0OXO SU0ERA N2OO A60WSW/21 EA7FTR JG8NQJ/JD1 JA8CJY [d] SU8JOTA N2OO A60WSW/5 EA7FTR JG8NQJ/JD1 JG8NQJ TG9BBV VE7BV A71XX EC6DX JW5X LA5X TJ1GD SP3EOL AO1000MM EA3EYO JW6VM LA6VM TM00B F4WBU C21TS M0OXO JW9DL LA9DL TM17FFF F4GFE DD4U DK2BK LN2T LA2T VI100SIG M0OXO DL100DM DL8FA LZ117ME LZ1KCP VK9QO JA3GEP DL200KIT DF0UK OF60AP OH2AP VL4A VK4BLE DM800KM DL8DSL OF9X OH2BH VL4R VK4ZD DP0GVN DL4BBH OG3B OH3RB VL5X M0OXO E51MWA M0URX OV9M DF9TM XT2AW M0OXO EH7DLH EA7DA OX3LX OZ0J XV9B E21EIC EK/RX3DPK EA5GL OZ0MF DF5LW YI1YY IK2DUW FY4JI EA5GL PA75OTC PI4OTC ZL7IO DK7AO H25A LZ3SM PE6SPOOK PC1K ZW3DIB PY3AA 5J3HD Liga de Radioaficionados de Bogota, Calle 125 # 21A - 84 Oficina 201 Bogota 110121, Colombia 5K3CD Liga de Radioaficionados de Bogota, Calle 125 # 21A - 84 Oficina 201 Bogota 110121, Colombia 5X1XA Phil Whitchurch, 21 Dickensons Grove, Congresbury, Bristol, BS49 5HQ United Kingdom 6J8A AERBCS, Sonora 219, 23600 Ciudad Constitucion BCS, Mexico AH0BT Kuniyoshi Nakada, ML9292, 2-14-8 Ginza, Chuo-ku, Tokyo, 104-0061, Japan D44PM Massimo Cortesi, Ufficio Forli Centro, Casella Postale 24, 47121 Forli FC, Italy D4M Massimo Cortesi, Ufficio Forli Centro, Casella Postale 24, 47121 Forli FC, Italy FP5BZ Ronan Darchen, BP 109, 22700 Perros-Guirec, France GP0STH Ron Bennett, 17 Truro Close, St. Helens, WA11 9EL, United Kingdom HC1M Julio Volpe O'Neil, Partida de Les Salades, Poligono 1, Casa 45, 03295 Elx (Alicante), Spain HC5VF Fausto Vintimilla, 3 Ekes Ct., Sussex NJ 07461, USA LN8W Tom Sigurdsson, Hasasgrenda 10, 3243 Kodal, Norway M0OXO Charles Wilmott, 60 Church Hill, Royston, Barnsley, S71 4NG, United Kingdom M0URX Tim Beaumont, 83 Limbrick Avenue, Coventry, CV4 9EX, United Kingdom OH0V Jukka Klemola, Aarontie 5, 31400 Somero, Finland S21PL Antonio Cannataro, Via Don Minzoni 18, 87040 Marano Marchesato CS, Italy SJ2W Per Eklund, Teaterallen 12-0102 lgh 1102, SE-903 64 Umea, Sweden SN19KJP Piotr Sobota, Janosika 5/40, 85-794 Bydgoszcz, Poland SU1OK Ayman Aly, 28 Mellowglen Crt., Bedford NS B4A 0J8, Canada T88PB Nobuaki Hosokawa, 8270 Fujimi, Fujimi-cho, Suwa-gun, Nagano, 399-0211, Japan TZ4AM Gregory J.
