6W - The Italian DXpedition Team will be active from Senegal from 28
October to 9 November. Team members include Elvira IV3FSG, Franco
I1FQH, Alfeo I1HJT, Tony I2PJA, Silvano I2YSB, Oscar IK2AQZ, Angelo
IK2CKR, and Stefano IK2HKT. They will operate CW, SSB, and RTTY as
6W/I2YSB, and FT8 (MHSV) as 6W/IK2HKT with five stations on 160-6

F - Special callsign TM47CDXC will be active from 27 September to 11
October for the 47th annual Convention of the Clipperton DX Club
(https://cdxc.org/), to be held at Carcans-Maubuisson on 9-11

G - MX0SQC is the callsign for members of the Polish Amateur Radio
Group in the UK (M0SQC) to celebrate their 10th anniversary from 28
September to 4 October. Look for activity on 160-10 metres CW, SSB,

HZ - HZ96ND, 7Z96ND and 8Z96ND are the special callsigns for the Saudi
Amateur Radio Society (HZ1SAR) to celebrate Saudi National Day on
13-23 September. Based on the number of lunar years, Saudi National
Day commemorates the renaming of the Kingdom of Nejd and Hejaz to
the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (23 September 1932).
National societies from Gulf Cooperation Council's neighbouring
countries which are expected to join the celebrations include the
Bahrain Amateur Radio Society as A91ARS (17-23 September) and the
Kuwait Amateur Radio Society as 9K9KSA (19-25 September).
I - IZ1CCK, the Italian Army's Taurinense Alpine Brigade station, will
be active on 18-20 September during the 28th reunion of the 1st Al-
pini Grouping in the city of Pinerolo (Torino). This will be a
public demonstration of amateur radio activities on 40, 20 and 15
metres SSB and CW. QSL via IZ1BWB.
JD1/O - Look for JD1BON (QSL via LoTW, or direct to JA1UII), JD1BOI (QSL
via LoTW, or direct to JI1LET), JE1NVD/JD1 and JI1CRM/JD1 (QSLs via
LoTW or direct to home calls) to be active from Chichijima (AS-031)
Ogasawara from 24 September to 6 October. They will operate CW,
SSB, FT8 and FT4 on 160-6 metres. [TNX NG3K]
LU - Members of Radio Club QRM Belgrano (LU4AAO) will be active as LS2E
from the Arroyo de la Cruz on 26 September. They will operate SSB
and FT8 on the HF bands from the premises of the Grupo Scout Aero-

OA - Active throughout September, the special callsign OC100ISL marks
the 100th anniversary since the inauguration of the Peruvian Navy's
base on San Lorenzo Island (SA-052). Amateur radio operations from
the island are planned for 25-27 September only; at other times the
callsign is operated on various bands and modes from mainland Peru.
PJ2 - Randy, K5SL will be active holiday style as PJ2/K5SL from Curacao
(SA-099) on 18-26 September. He will operate only CW on 40-17 me-
tres. QSL via home call.
SP - HF26WBC is the special callsign to be active on 17-25 September
during the 26th World Hot Air Balloon Championship taking place in
the city of Krosno, Poland. QSL via Club Log's OQRS, LoTW, and QRZ.

VK - John, VK1AX is now active from Deal Island (OC-195) through late
November. In his spare time he operates FT8 ("but will operate SSB

INDIAN OCEAN ---> Ludovic, F1TEQ will be active as FR/F1TEQ from Reunion Is-
land (AF-016) on 19-26 September, and as FH/F1TEQ from Mayotte (AF-027) on
26-30 September. He will operate SSB on 20, 15 and 10 metres in his spare

DXPEDITION OF THE YEAR TIMING UPDATE ---> The Southwest Ohio DX Associa-
tion's DX Committee met to clarify the timing of eligibility for the DXpedi-
tion of the Year Award (https://www.swodxa.org/dxpedition-of-the-year/).
"The current eligibility dates are not well aligned with the timing of
Hamvention and the DX Dinner", Bill Salyers (AJ8B), SWODXA President says.
"We currently only consider DXpeditions that complete by February of the
award year. This gap between our closing date and Hamvention has been a
point of confusion for DXers in the past. We have given careful thought to
adjusting the eligibility period closer to May in a way that is fair and eq-
uitable.
We have decided that for the DXpedition of the Year Award in 2027 the eli-
gibility period will be 1 March 2026 through 31 March 2027.
For 2028 and later, the eligibility period will become 1 April through 31
of each successive year.
We hope this is clear to all of you who would be eligible for DXpedition
of the Year awards over the next several years".
RI1FJZ ---> The team has been active from Alexandra Land, Franz Josef Land
since 14 September. Due to the presence of several polar bears and the
associated safety risks, a mandatory curfew restricts all outdoor work
between 6:00 p.m. and 10:00 a.m. Additionally, local power restrictions are
currently keeping the stations from operating at full capacity. Internet
access is available, though limited and unstable. RI1FJZ now expects to be
QRV until 29 September.
WRTC 2026 ---> The WRTC 2026 Awards Ceremony will take place on 3 October in
Porec, Croatia, as part of the 5th annual Istra Contest Conference. Running
from 1-4 October, the conference features a comprehensive lineup of lectures
on various contesting topics. Full details and the complete schedule are
