7X     - Afif, 7X2RO and others have been active  as 7V9A  from  the Habibas
         Islands (AF-094) since 17 July, and will remain QRV until the 21st.
         QSL direct  to  Ben Lagha,  18 rue Louis Aragon,  26200 Montelimar,
         France; logsearch on Club Log.
9H     - Look  for  9H3XSV (G3XSV),  9H3TKF (G3TKF)  and  9H3AXX (G4AXX)  to
         operate SSB and CW  from  Malta (EU-023) on  25-29 July.  They will
         participate  in  the IOTA Contest  as  9H6YB (QSL via G3SWH).  [TNX

D4     - Christian, M0UPL will be active as D44EK from  Sal Island (AF-086),
         Cape Verde from 23 July to 7 August.  He will operate SSB on the HF
         bands. QSL via home call. [TNX DX News]
GD     - Look for MD2C (QSL via MD0CCE, OQRS on Club Log) and GD6NX (QSL via
         LoTW, logsearch on Club Log)  to  participate in  this  year's IOTA
         Contest (28-29 July) from the Isle of Man (EU-116).
JA     - Ken, JE6HCL will be active as JE6HCL/6 from Iki Island (AS-036)  on
         28-30 July.  He will  operate SSB and  CW, and  will participate in
         the IOTA Contest. QSL via home call. [TNX NG3K]
JD1    - The Ogasawara Islands, as well as  Minami Torishima,  were returned
         to Japanese control  in 1968.  Celebrating  that  50th anniversary,
         JARL's Tokyo  Branch  (http://jarl-tokyo.org/wp2/)  was  active  as
         JD1YAB/JD1  from  Hahajima  (Ogasawara)  on  23-30  June.  The same
         callsign hase been used from Minami Torishima since 16 July,  where
         operations are expected to continue as  time  permits  until  early
         August  on  17 and 15  metres.  Future  plans  are to be  QRV  from
         Chichijima   (Ogasawara)  around   mid-August,  and  again  on  7-9
         November. All QSOs will be confirmed via the bureau.  The route for
         direct QSLling "is currently under discussion".
LA     - Marq, CT1BWW will be active as LA/CT1BWW from  the  Lofoten Islands
         (EU-076) between 30 July and 10 August. He will operate SSB, CW and
         Digital  modes  on  80-10 metres.  He  is  also  planning a  mobile
         operation for one day only (4 August) from IOTA group EU-033.  [TNX

PY     - Marcelo, PY2AE and others will participate in the  IOTA Contest  as
         PR2CI  from  Ilha das Couves (SA-071).  There  might  be  some  FT8
         activity on 17 and 30 metres concurrent with SSB and CW activity on
         the five  contest  bands.  QSL via  Club Log's OQRS,  LoTW,  or via
         PY2AE.
UA     - R1NU and UA1NFA  will participate in  the IOTA Contest  as  R1KRG/p
         from  Bol'shoy Kimalishche Island (EU-147).  QSL via  R1NU.  Before
         and after the contest, on  26-30 July, they will be QRV  as  R25RRA
         (QSL via RZ3EC). [TNX NG3K]
VE     - Mike, VE2XB will be active again as VY0BRR from Iqaluit  on  Baffin
         Island (NA-047), Nunavut starting on  14 July  "for several months,
         at least until Christmas 2018". QSL via VE2XB. [TNX VE2XB]
VE     - Mike, KI1U will be active  again as  VE9IU from  Grand Manan Island
         (NA-014) on 21-28 July. He will operate CW and FT8 on the HF bands,
         with some activity on 6 meters and various satellites. QSL via KI1U
         and LoTW; logsearch on Club Log. [TNX ARRL DX News]
VE     - Once again  the  NA128 Contest Group  (http://www.qsl.net/na128cg/)
         will be active from  IOTA group NA-128 for  the IOTA Contest.  This
         year they will be signing CK2I from  Ile-aux-Grues  on  27-29 July,
         with  some  limited FT8  activity before  the contest  to check the
         antennas. QSL direct via VE2EBK; the log will  be uploaded to  Club
         Log and LoTW. [TNX NG3K]
Z6     - Enda EI2II, Declan EI9HQ, Martti OH2BH, Hans PB2T, Driton Z61DX and
         Fehmi Z62FB will be active as Z66X from Kosovo on 19-30 July.  This
         Kosovo International Friendship Consortium's operation will use FT8
         DXpedition mode on  the  following frequencies:  3567, 7056, 10131,
         14090, 18095, 21091, 24911, 28091 and 50323 kHz. QSL via Club Log's
         OQRS, or via OH2BH. [TNX OH2BH]

KH1/KH7Z ---> The OQRS is up and running on Club Log. According to the final
statistics, the team on Baker Island made  68,972 QSOs  with  18,128  unique
callsigns (26.28%).

Unsurprisingly, given the team's announced plan to maintain a 24/7  presence
there, 20m was the most productive band with  27,568 QSOs (39.97%), followed
by 17m/11796, 15m/8091, 40m/7563, 30m/6616, 80m/2996,  12m/1912,  160m/1706,
10m/557 and 60m/167. 

WRTC 2018 ---> The World Radiosport Team Championship,  held in  Germany  in
parallel  with  the  IARU  HF World  Championship,  is  now  history.  Gedas
Lucinskas (LY9A) & Mindis Jukna (LY4L) are the new world champions;  Manfred
Wolf (DJ5MW) & Stefan von Baltz (DL1IAO) are the runners-up,  and the bronze
medalists are  the defending  champions  Chris Hurlbut (KL9A) & Daniel Craig

WRTC 2022 ---> Tine  Brajnik  (S50A),  President  of  the  WRTC  Sanctioning
Committee, announced that  the  organization  of  the  World Radiosport Team
Championship 2022  has been  granted  to  the  Italian  Host Committee.  The
competition will be held in the Emilia-Romagna region.
